India will take on England in the fourth and final Test in Ahmedabad, starting Thursday. The hosts lead the four-match series 2-1 and a win or a draw in the last match of the series will assure them of a spot in the final of the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship, to be played at the Lord’s cricket ground. The third Test, also played at the same venue, ended inside two days and that caused a lot of chatter on social media about the pitch with former cricketers expressing their take on the surface. The pitch in the 3rd Test assisted spinners and 17 wickets fell on Day 2 of the match as India secured a 10-wicket win over England in just over five sessions of play. England are out of contention for a place in World Test Championship final but if they can manage to turn things around in the fourth Test, it will be Australia who will play New Zealand in the summit clash at Lord’s.
