Shruti Haasan turned a year older recently. Birthdays leave most of us with mixed feelings and so we asked Shruti what was hers like. The actress toldBombay Times, “This birthday was super special and it’s also the best phase of my life. I introspect everyday so birthday is no different.”

What made the day special for Shruti was a big film announcement. The actress will be seen in Salaar with Prabhas. The pan-India venture will be directed by Prashanth Neel and the makers of KGF 2 have dropped the release date of the eagerly anticipated sequel.

Shruti said, “I’m super excited to be a part of this project. It’s a great team and I’m looking forward to working with Prabhas as well. As always, what drew me to the role was the character I get to portray. Her flow in the larger narrative is interesting and I’m excited to bring her to life.”
