Huawei Mate 40E 5G with 6.5-inch FHD+ screen, 4200mAh battery launched in China – Times of India
Chinese telecom company Huawei has launched a new smartphone — called Huawei Mate 40E 5G — in its home country. This is the fifth model in the Mate 40 series as the company already has Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and Mate 40 RS Porsche Design in the lineup.

The smartphone has been launched in two storage variants that offer 128GB and 256GB internal storage. While the former is priced at CNY 4,599 (approximately Rs 51,500), the latter is priced at CNY 5,099 (approximately Rs 57,100).

Running on EMUI 11.0 UI-based on Android 10 out of the box, the Huawei Mate 40E 5G smartphone offers an OLED display of 6.5-inch FHD+ screen of 2376x1080p resolution with a punch-hole camera on the top.
The Huawei Mate 40E 5G smartphone comes powered by Kirin 990E processor. On the storage front, the device offers 8GB RAM and 128GB and 256GB internal storage models.
For imaging duties, the Huawei Mate 40E 5G has a triple-camera setup on the back. The primary camera is a 64MP sensor (f/1.9 aperture). This is accompanied by a 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.2 aperture) and an 8MP telephoto camera (f/2.4 aperture). The rear camera setup offers 3x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom and 30x digital zoom.
On the front, users get a 13MP sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. T offers functions like portrait mode, panoramic mode, fun AR and more.
Backed by a 4200mAh battery, the Huawei Mate 40E 5G comes with wireless charging support too.
The device is IP53 rated, measures 158.6×72.5×8.8mm and weighs 188 grams. The smartphone offers a Gravity sensor, Infrared sensor, In-screen fingerprint and more.
