343 Industries, the makers of the Halo franchise, are seriously considering adding another game to the Halo universe. The developer has put up a job listing on the careers.microsoft.com website with the post being that of a Producer. The need for a Producer is “to help develop a new project in the Halo universe.”
The job role requires the Producer to “work directly with the Lead Producer and project leads to establish and maintain the vision, scope, schedule, budget, and resource plan.” As to what the new project is going to be is not clear yet, except that it is something set in the Halo universe.
Is it a spinoff title or the continuation of Halo Infinite? Or is it going to be some sort of a prequel? Not much has been divulged yet. It could also be the continuation of the Halo Wars series, and the game in the works could be Halo Wars 3.
All but one Halo game were added one by one last year to the Halo Master Chief Collection on PC. First, the Halo trilogy was added, which includes Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2 and Halo 3. Then Halo 3: ODST was added. Now, only Halo 4 remains to be ported to the PC platform. The Halo series is one of the most well known first-person shooters on the Microsoft Xbox platform.
