google pixel fold: Google may launch a foldable phone in 2021: Report – Times of India

Google is reportedly planning to launch its first foldable phone later this year. According to a post shared on Twitter by leakster Jon Prosser, Google Pixel fold is a ‘real thing’.
Though there is no definite timeline for the launch, it is expected to arrive by the end of 2021 or early next year. Replying to a tweet asking when the Google foldable phone may launch, Prosser said that the phone could arrive later this year or early next year.

Prosser’s leak was seconded by DSCC founder and display analyst Ross Young who confirmed the Google Pixel fold phone in a reply post. “Yep, tweeted this over 2 months ago. Specs, timing, etc. in our Q4’20 Foldable Report”, said Young.
It was Ross Young who in December 2020 reported that Google could launch a Pixel foldable phone in the second quarter of 2021. In his tweet then he said that we can expect “at least 3 models from Samsung, 4 models from Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi and 1 model from Google.”

Adding to the list of hints for a Google folate phone is a recent report which said that Samsung is developing foldable OLED displays for Google, Oppo and Xiaomi.
To recall, Google added support for foldable phones with the Android 10 operating system. The OS comes with native support for foldable devices with different folding patterns. Android 10 also has features like app continuity, resizable apps and multi-window support for more than two apps.
