Google Chrome makes its easy to check websites before opening them – Times of India
Internet search giant Google has rolled out a new feature for Chrome Android users that will allow them to preview a page before fully opening it, according to a report by 9to5Google.
As per the report, the option of “preview page” will appear when users long press on the link. The screenshot shows that the option will be present between “Open in incognito tab” and “Copy link address.”
Once the user taps on this, that particular link will open in a pop-up sheet — covering almost all of the screen.
Right above the page, users will see a bar that includes information including page name, domain and an icon to open the link completely.
The “Preview page” support is claimed to be rolling out to Chrome 89 for Android through a server side update, as per the report.
Last month, Android users also got support for a feature that solved their problem of too many tabs on Google Chrome browser by organising them in groups.
On Android phones, once these groups of tabs are created, users see a bar at the bottom for quick access. This bar lets users access each group at a time with options like New Tab.
