Google acknowledges three-month old WearOS bug, promises to fix soon – Times of India

Internet search giant Google has confirmed that it is working on a fix for an issue that reportedly has been broken for months.
A report by 9to5Google had pointed out that saying “Hey Google” to activate the Google Assistant has not been responsive on Wear OS — the Android-based operating system for wearables — smartwatches since November 2020.
Now, the company has addressed the issue and said that it will be fixed soon, as per a report by The Verge. The company has assured users that it will not only fix the issue but also “improve the overall experience.”
The statement from Google doesn’t give any clear timeline as to when it will be fixed, but can be expected to happen soon
Back in September, Google rolled out a new update of WearOS. Google had claimed that the WearOS has been improved from “top to bottom” and the apps now have a launch and boot time up to 20% faster. Further, the company had introduced changes in the device controls that were said to make it easier to manage different watch modes as well as workouts.
Another thing Google had claimed was that the processor of setting up the wearOS smartwatch was faster than ever before. Not only that, the company had said that it had made enhancements in the pairing process, making usage of a WearOS smartwatch more reliable.
