Ghost Recon Breakpoint is the sequel to Ghost Recon Wildlands and is a tactical shooter, just like its predecessor. The action takes place on the fictional island of Auroa. The island is owned by billionaire philanthropist Jace Skell. When a chopper carrying a team of the elite Ghosts is shot down near the island, you, as Lieutenant Colonel Anthony “Nomad” Perryman, survive the crash. Now it is upto you to explore the island, survive and get to the truth of what is happening on Auroa. Stealth is of major importance as you traverse the island and try to survive.
In Breakpoint, some characters from Wildlands are also present like Dominic “Holt” Moretta, Corey “Weaver” Ward and Rubio “Midas” Delgado. One of the major highlights of the game is its chief adversary Lieutenant Colonel Cole D. Walker, played by actor Jon Bernthal of The Walking Dead and The Punisher fame. Walker is a former Ghost who went rogue long before and has his own team of operatives.
