“Gauahar Khan tested positive for Covid and went for a film’s shoot instead of staying home,” confirms DCP Chaitanya S – Times of India
Gauahar Khan has hit headlines today as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday booked her for going out for a film shoot despite testing positive for the novel Coronavirus. DCP Chaitanya S confirmed to ETimes, “Gauahar has been booked for violation of COVID rules. She had tested positive for coronavirus and was supposed to stay home and quarantine but instead went for a film shoot.” A BMC official had reportedly visited her went to her home but did not find her there.
The BMC filed an FIR against Gauahar and shared the same on social media after blurring her name. Posting a copy of the FIR, the civic body tweeted, “No Compromise On City’s Safety! BMC has filed an FIR against a Bollywood actor for non-compliance to COVID19 guidelines on testing positive. The rules apply to all alike and we urge citizens to follow all guidelines and help the city beat the virus.”
Gauahar Khan has appeared in hit Bollywood films like ‘Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year’, ‘Ishaqzaade’ and ‘Begum Jaan’. The actress recently won accolades for her performance in a web show.
