Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “brilliant teaser” of his upcoming film, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ starring Alia Bhatt has been receiving praise from all quarters. Not only fans, Bollywood celebs too have been singing their praise.

The upcoming film will reportedly follow the life of Gangubai who was sold into prostitution but went on to become one of the most revered and powerful women in Mumbai city. She built her ties in the underworld and is said to have worked for the uplifting of women and orphans in the red light area of Kamathipura.

Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ marks the first collaboration between him and Alia. It will also reportedly star Ajay Devgn in a key role. The movie will hit the theatres on July 30, 2021.
