It seems 12GB RAM in a smartphone is passe now, even when it is still formidable in smartphones. Now, 16GB RAM phones have arrived that rival high end gaming laptops in RAM now. Nubia recently unveiled the 16GB RedMagic 6 gaming smartphone and it seems Lenovo may also have planned a 16GB gaming phone, the successor to Legion Duel (Legion Pro) as per a listing on GeekBench (via Abhishek Yadav).
The phone that has appeared on Geekbench bears a model number of L70081 and comes with a flagship Qualcomm chipset. The chipset has a codename of ‘lahaina’ and has a base frequency of 1.80GHz. It is believed to be the Snapdragon 888 chipset, as the codename is linked with the SD 888 platform. Besides the ‘lahaina’ chipset and the 16GB RAM, the phone has the Android 11 OS. As per the listing, the smartphone got single-core and multi-core scores of 1130 and 3779 respectively.
From the looks of it, it could be the next gaming phone from the house of Lenovo. It could be called the Legion Pro 2 or even Legion 2 Pro, though there is no confirmation regarding the name of the device.
Lenovo Legion Duel or Legion Pro smartphone came powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset and sported a 6.55-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 144Hz.
