fifa 21: 535 and done: FIFA 21’s longest winning streak comes to an end – Times of India

Anders Vejrgang hails from Denmark. He is considered among the top FIFA 21 players in the world and is the best, according to some. He plays professionally for Germany-based football club RB Leipzig’s esports team. He made headlines by winning 535 FIFA 21 games in a row in Ultimate Team’s Weekend League, considered to be the game’s “most gruelling, hardcore competitive mode”, as per a report by Eurogamer. The 535 straight wins set a new record. But Anders Vejrgang could not continue the streak further as he lost the next game this Sunday.
Vejrgang is 15 years old.
RB Leipzig tweeted about the achievement of their star player: “A record for ages but every streak must come to an end.”

He lost the game 5-1, with the three goals being conceded by his side when it was 1-2, with Vejrgang chasing the equaliser. The star of RB Leipzig streamed the match live on Twitch.
As he is still 15 years old, he needs to turn 16 to become eligible to play in EA FIFA tournaments. Needless to say, with the world record and the fan following of a video game series like FIFA, the kid is popular. His number of followers on Twitch has crossed the half-a-million mark. Add to that over 300,000 followers on Instagram, about 90,000 followers on Twitter and over 91,000 YouTube subscribers.
