It’s never easy for anyone whose parents fight, whether he/she is a kid or not. And it becomes worse if parents decide to part ways and he/she is sandwiched to choose one. That’s something that happened with Rati Agnihotri‘s son Tanuj Virwani in her fight against her husband Anil. Rati and Anil had major issues a few years back and matters became so ugly that Rati had taken legal recourse.

In an exclusive conversation with ETimes, Tanuj confesses the predicament he consequently found himself in. Admitting that he got bogged down, Tanuj added, “It put me off track. We are a very small family. Things were not going well for a long time. I had to be their parent and try to sort it out, act almost like a referee. It was all in the public domain, things had got quite bad after a certain point. I was shooting for ‘One Night Stand’ when it escalated.

Life for one year was very tough as nobody likes to be discussed. We went through a lot. It seemed they would divorce each other, there was a lot of talk about that as to who I would stay with. Thankfully, my mausi (mother’s sister) stepped in and made them talk; transparency and security returned,” quickly adding, “We are now much better than perhaps even before.”

On the work front, Tanuj has been doing fairly well in the recent past- his projects’ list consists of ‘Poison’, ‘Code M’ and ‘Masaba Masaba’.

On the other hand, Rati has been spending a lot of time with her sister in Poland, shuttling back and forth as the situation demands.

Anil, however, has not yet spoken on the dispute.
