It’s Tanushree Dutta’s birthday tomorrow and the actress won’t be doing anything typical. Instead, she has plans for some pampering, apart from the brief and customary meetup with family. Talking about it, Tanshuree says, “that day. “I don’t have concrete plans as such but I have a spa visit planned to pamper myself where I will do a luxury facial and a deep-tissue massage and maybe I might do a foot reflexology treatment, let’s see. I go in for the TLC from time to time an as it’s my birthday, I’m indulging myself a little more. I’ll be meeting my family later in the day, it won’t be something too fancy, just a low-key meet-up.”

‘I have seen people come and go, I have seen their attitudes shift and change’

There’s something else she really hopes to do. Adds the Bollywood actress, “What I actually wanted – and I don’t know how much time I will have for that – is to meditate and pray for the entire day. It’s the beginning of a new year for me and I meet my family and friends often, but what I wanted to start off my birthday with is to stay by myself. It will give me a chance to plan and regroup my thoughts and energy. I know myself best when I am praying and meditating, I know what I want best and I also get a direction as to how I get to things I really want. That happens when I am praying and meditating. That’s why I kept the spa treatments for the first half of the day.” Tanushree says she’s not high on a celebration. “I never want to celebrate my birthday, but I always end up doing so. This year I really want to stay alone. I want to be myself and pray and meditate. I’ve seen that the world is so transient, sometimes people are there and at times they are not there. And right now, I am at the door of massive transformation in my life. I have seen people come and go, I have seen their attitudes shift and change, depending at how you are doing and where you are in life. People want to spend my birthday with me, but there were times I was so alone. I came from nothing and I got everything, so it’s time for me to meditate on my blessings, in order to have more of that in the future.”
