Exclusive! Shweta Pandit finally reveals her daughter Izana’s face; says, “A lockdown baby is going to be more caring” – Times of India
Shweta tells us that Izana can be called a lockdown baby as she has seen the entire lockdown phase till date since she was born in February last year, a little before the lockdown was imposed. “And, I personally think she is growing up differently. She has seen her father and mother both almost throughout the day with her as Ivano and I have hardly gone out in the COVID-era. I see babies of friends and relatives who were born, say a year or two before the lockdown- and they are different. On the other hand, I have seen a few other lockdown babies as well. Lockdown babies are going to be far more attached and caring. Dekhne se pata lagta hai, you can make out especially if you’re a parent. Ivano and I are lucky.”
The mother points out that Iza too is lucky that she arrived in this world at such a time where her mother couldn’t get back to work. “At first, I thought I shall resume in 4 or 5 months, but destiny had other plans. If at all, I have a second baby, I don’t think it will be possible for Ivano and I to spend a year’s time with her/him.”
Iza, says the mother, loves toys. “Everyone in the family calls her Iza. She has started saying ‘Mama’ and ‘Papa’. She is keeping me on the toes all the time and she puts me to sleep before she dozes off. But I ain’t complaining, in fact, lovin’ it.” And yes, Izana loves listening to Pandit Jasraj’s bhajans; the mother says that she can make out from her baby’s response. “I haven’t yet exposed her to Bollywood music, though,” Shweta adds.
Shweta and Ivano had earlier thought of settling down in Italy but changed their decision when the COVID-wave lashed at Italy menacingly. Izana completed 13 months, today.
