One more star kid is all set to take the B-town ride and this time it’s none other than Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep‘s daughter Shanaya. The star kid announced through her social media handle about her entry in Bollywood with Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions‘ next which is set to roll in July this year.

Etimes reached out to Sanjay Kapoor to know more about Shanaya’s Bollywood debut with Dharma. “I am overwhelmed,” expressed the proud father. KJo’s Dharma Production has been the launch pad for many star kids and Shanaya is the latest to join the bandwagon. “She couldn’t have got a better launch than Dharma,” admits the ‘Mission Mangal’ actor.

Sanjay Kapoor is best known for his Bollywood films in the 90s like ‘Raja’, ‘Prem’, ‘Mohabbat’, ‘Sirf Tum’ to mention a few. When asked whether he would take some credit for his daughter’s debut in Bollywood, he quickly replied, “Not at all, It is all Shanaya’s hard work and she deserves a good launch.”

Not many may know that Shanaya Kapoor had assisted for Dharma production’s last outing, ‘Gunjan Saxena-The Kargil Girl’ starring Janhvi Kapoor. After Shanaya made an announcement about joining Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for her first film, Karan Johar too welcomed her to DCA squad.
