Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s younger daughter Khushi is in Los Angeles (LA). She left Mumbai a few days back and has been there since then. But soon, she will have the company of Janhvi Kapoor which she loves the most. A source says, “Khushi, who completed a year of preparation in acting in New York in 2019, now wants to join Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. Janhvi too studied in that institute. Khushi would have probably finished that course if COVID hadn’t struck, but the slow past one year hasn’t deterred her ambitions. So currently, she’s exploring what best she can avail of. Soon, she will have Janhvi’s company which might contribute in her decision-making.“

On date, Janhvi is also not in Mumbai. Reveals the source, “She went back to Punjab for the shoot of ‘Good Luck Jerry’ immediately after the promotions of ‘Roohi’. Her ongoing schedule of ‘Good Luck Jerry’ will end on March 19. And then on March 21, she will leave for LA.”

Post her US trip, Janhvi starts shooting for ‘Dostana 2’ (which co-stars Kartik Aaryan and Laksh) from mid-April. Currently, Janhvi is definitely in a happy space. ‘Roohi’ picked up on Day 3 and 4 reasonably well to clock numbers that haven’t disappointed, considering that it was the first big release after the COVID lockdown. Exhibitor Akshaye Rathi, when contacted, comments, “The numbers of ‘Roohi’ are encouraging, the footfalls have been good in not just multiplexes but single screens as well.” Endorsing Rathi’s viewpoint, trade analyst Taran Adrash said, “And, let’s not forget that many theatres have had to close down in view of the recent lockdowns in certain places in Maharashtra, wherein the resurgence of COVID has installed fear.”

Concludes the source, “Khushi is most likely to be launched in 2022. Boney has already got many offers from producers keen to sign up Khushi for their upcoming movies, but neither he nor Khushi are in a hurry. The family believes in formal training in acting.”
