Exclusive interview! Luv Sinha reacts to farmers’ protests: Rihanna putting up a tweet is no propaganda – Times of India
Following the pop star’s tweet, the Ministry of External Affairs also issued a statement slamming comments by foreign individuals on the farmers’ protests. And actors like Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn, too, tweeted for #IndiaAgainstPropaganda. “I respect all my seniors, whatever their views may be, whether I agree with them or not. It is their right to freedom and view. Whether you take a stand one way or another, atleast you are speaking. There are many who have just kept silent, and not even taken a stand,” opines Luv.
Kangana Ranaut also came down heavily on Rihanna and had replied to her tweet, writing, “No one is talking about it because they are not farmers they are terrorists who are trying to divide India.” Reacting to the same, Luv adds, “Kangana tends to say whatever she feels like on Twitter but that is just again her freedom of expression. However, at the same time, calling a farmer a terrorist is absurd. Does she even know what a terrorist does that she is calling them that. Terrorism is what took place in Kashmir, farmers protesting is not terrorism.”
In conclusion, the actor urges that the farmers must be heard. “A lot of people are supporting the farm bill. I do understand that it is everyone’s right to support what they feel is right. But at the same time, most of the supporters are probably not even aware how the bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha with a voice note. And if you are saying that it is so good for the farmers, why are they opposing it so much? So, people can support the bill but should at least know why the it is being opposed so ferociously.”
