Kartik Aaryan-Janhvi Kapoor-Laksh starrer ‘Dostana 2′ commenced in Amritsar in November 2019. The second schedule which was meant to happen in the United Kingdom in March 2020 got cancelled owing to the pandemic and the project has been on a pause since then. The film’s producer Karan Johar and director Colin D’Cunha were all set to resume the shoot after nearly 10 months in London in January 2021 but the UK went back to being in lockdown stage.

ETimes has it that the cast and crew have now struck off the UK for at least sometime and the second schedule is being planned in India only. The shoot begins in mid-April. A source says, “The date is most likely April 10. The venue will be announced soon. With Corona still playing havoc in most parts, expect that decision to be taken only closer to the fourth week of March.”

A large chunk of the film is being planned under this schedule and hence, if all goes well, it will be an extensive one. If COVID had not struck, ‘Dostana 2’ which is a sequel to the Abhishek Bachchan-Priyanka Chopra-John Abraham ‘Dostana’ of 2008 would have hit theatres by mid-2020.
