Exclusive: Cops halt ‘Ek Villian Returns’ shoot, since no COVID protocols were followed – Times of India


The shooting of John Abraham and Disha Patani starrer ‘Ek Villian Returns’ was stopped by the Mumbai cops as the team was filming without following COVID-19 protocols in one of the slum areas in Mumbai.

ETimes exclusively learnt that ‘Ek Villian Returns’ team was shooting in Worli village in Mumbai last night. The unit shot for some scenes and the shoot was halted by the police as the crew was filming without following any COVID norms. There were no social distancing norms followed and thus the cops were forced to stop the shoot.

It will be for the first time, John Abraham will be sharing the screen space with Disha. The film also stars Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria in key roles. ‘Ek Villian Returns’, which will release next year, is a sequel to the 2014 hit film ‘Ek Villain’ which starred Shraddha Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh and Sidharth Malhotra.
