Exclusive! Amrita Puri on 8 years of ‘Kai Po Che!’: It has a special place in my heart; big love to Sushant Singh Rajput – Times of India

Abhishek Kapoor’s directorial ‘Kai Po Che!’ has completed 8 glorious years today. The film, which revolved around the lives of three friends, marked the debut of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and also starred Rajkummar Rao, Amit Sadh and Amrita Puri in key roles.

On this special occasion, ETimes got in touch with Amrita, who took a walk down the memory lane, reminiscing about the good old days from the sets of the film.

Amrita said, “I still remember doing workshops for the film. It was so much fun. We were all so happy and excited to be on set and working. There was this infectious enthusiasm among the principal cast that being new in the business brings with it. It was beautiful. The boys and the entire crew were all very tight. I’m grateful to have been a part of the film. I loved my scenes with Rajkummar. He was starting off at the time and his simplicity won me over. ‘Kai Po Che!’ has a special place in my heart.”

The actress, who is currently enjoying the success of her recently released digital show, also remembered her reel life brother Sushant. She said, “I’d like to add that interestingly enough this film also celebrates friendship. And my memories of the film as I speak of it 8 years later are all of camaraderie and friendship. I get goosebumps when I see scenes from the film. Big love to SSR wherever he may be.”
