After Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Leela Bhansali tested positive for Covid-19, Alia Bhatt also took the test as she has been closely working with the two. A source has confirmed to ETimes, “Alia takes the test nearly every day and today also she has tested negative but has still isolated herself. Ranbir Kapoor caught the virus on the sets of ‘Brahmastra’ and is recovering currently.”

While Alia and Ranbir share screen space in ‘Brahmastra’, the duo is also dating in real-life and often hangs out together. Alia has also been closely working with Bhansali on ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and the filmmaker has also reportedly tested positive for Covid-19 today. As a precautionary measure, Alia took the test and tested negative for Covid-19.

Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor confirmed, in a social media statement today morning, that her son had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. “Thank you for your concern and your good wishes. Ranbir has tested positive for Covid-19. He is on medication and recovering well. He is in self-quarantine at home and following all precautions,” Neetu shared on Instagram.
