Donald Trump: This is how Donald Trump plans to return to social media – Times of India

After getting banned from major social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, former US president Donald Trump may be planning to launch his own social media platform, as per a report by TheNextWeb. The report is based upon a Fox News interview with Donald Trump’s senior adviser, Jason Miller. In the interview, Miller said that the former president could make a comeback with his own social media platform in “probably about two or three months”.
“I do think that we’re going to see President Trump returning to social media in probably about two or three months here, with his own platform. And this is something that I think will be the hottest ticket in social media, it’s going to completely redefine the game, and everybody is going to be waiting and watching to see what exactly President Trump does.”, the report quotes him.
How many joiners will the platform get if it turns out to be real? Probably a lot. Trump may have lost in the elections but he still has a wide base of supporters. But with social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter strangling several extremists and the right-wing groups, the supporters of Trump have also been unable to connect on social media on a big level. After Big Tech shunted Trump and his supporters out, they tried to switch to Parler, an app proliferating with right-wingers. But Parler too was axed from Google Play Store and Apple App Store eventually for the extreme and violence-inciting views its posts had.
