BTS star V says ARMY is “number 0” and not “number 1” – Find out why – Times of India

K-Pop superstars BTS is all anyone is talking about, ahead of their big performance at the Grammy Awards on Monday. The boy-band got together for an interview with USA TODAY, where they spilled the beans about how they feel about their historic nomination for ‘Dynamite’, and their immense gratitude for ARMY.

When asked what helped them rise to international success and achieve global domination these past eight years, the boys gave due credit to their fans, who they lovingly call ARMY.

When asked what led the group to the top of the music industry, Jungkook simply stated: “Of course it’s ARMY.”

It was, however, V’s answer that took everyone by surprise. When Jin said that ARMY is their “No. 1”, V steps in and asked, “Aren’t they number 0?”

Reacting to V’s question, SUGA rightly explained, “Would any of this have been possible without ARMY?”

RM also sang praise of ARMY who have backed them on this journey to possibly becoming the first-ever Korean band to win a Grammy Award. “There are so many blessings we could’ve gotten for these eight years, but I guess for the whole journey the best luck we ever had is that we all have you guys all over the world. So please don’t forget that, whether we get the Grammys or not, we already got what we wanted, and we got you, so that means we got everything,” RM said.

Come Monday, BTS is already the clear favourites to take home the Grammy Award for best pop group performance. They will also be performing on stage, becoming the first K-Pop group I history to hold a solo stage at the Grammy’s.
