BTS’ priceless Kid’s Choice Award speech goes viral after Grammy Award loss – Times of India


K-Pop superstars BTS had fans around the world rooting for them and hoping they would take home the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. However, the boys lost out on the award to Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga for their track ‘Rain On Me’.

While BTS reacted to their loss in a very sporty manner, the BTS ARMY voiced their anger and disapproval on social media. Following in the band’s example, ARMY later turned their focus on positive things and celebrated the fact that the boys did create history as the first South Korean act to ever get nominated for a Grammy.

ARMY also later admitted that the Grammy excitement overshadowed the band’s clean sweep at the 2021 Kids’ Choice Awards. BTS won all three of the awards they were nominated for – Favourite Music Group, Favourite Song (Dynamite), Favourite Global Music Star.

Fans quickly began sharing BTS’ priceless acceptance speech video that saw RM, V, JungKook, Jimin, Jin, J-Hope and SUGA passing around the award and speaking a few words of thanks in English.

‘Dynamite’ that became the band’s biggest worldwide hit is currently on its way to the 1 billion mark on YouTube.
