NEW DELHI: State-owned telecom operator BSNL is busy revamping its existing plans in order to offer better choices to its subscribers. Recently, the company revised two of its long-term prepaid plans and now it has revamped a postpaid plan. The service provider has revised its postpaid plan of Rs 199. After the revision, the BSNL postpaid subscribers will be able to enjoy unlimited calling facilities under the plan.
Earlier the Rs 199 plan used to offer 300 minutes to the users to make voice calls. But now BSNL postpaid users can make unlimited calls to BSNL and other networks. The plan also offers 25GB data under the same plan. Along with this, the plan also offers data rollover facilities for up to 75GB. Apart from the free calling and data facility, BSNL postpaid users will also get 100 SMS per day under this plan.
This Rs 199 postpaid plan from BSNL will compete with the postpaid plan of Rs 199 of Reliance Jio. Under Rs 199 plan, the Reliance Jio postpaid users get unlimited calling facility and 25GB data. In case the users exhaust the 25GB data then they will be charged Rs 20 per GB. Along with this they also get 100 SMS per day and free access to the Jio Suite apps which include JioTV, JioCinema and more.
Recently, BSNL revised two of its long-term prepaid plans. The service provider has revised the prepaid plans of Rs 1,999 and Rs 2,399. With this revision, the telecom operator has increased the validity of both the plans.
BSNL has increased the validity of the Rs 1,999 plan by 21 days. This means that now the plan will be valid for 386 days. This is a limited period offer and is valid till January 31, 2021. Along with this, the telecom operator has also revamped its Rs 2,399 plan. The plan now offers the total validity of 600 days.
