Bolly Buzz: Ranbir Kapoor tests positive for Covid-19, Varun Dhawan’s ‘Bhediya’ shoot interrupted – Times of India ►
Ranbir Kapoor became the latest Bollywood star to test positive for coronavirus. Neetu Kapoor confirmed the news and shared, “Thank you for your concern and your good wishes. Ranbir has tested positive for Covid-19. He is on medication and recovering well. He is in self-quarantine at home and following all precautions.” The news was followed with fans and B-town friends taking to social media to wish RK a speedy recovery.
Not too long after Kapoor’s test results went viral, we got word that ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ director Sanjay Leela Bhansali had also tested positive. Buzz doing the rounds stated that the film’s shoot has been halted, and the filmmaker is currently in quarantine. However, we haven’t got am official confirmation on this just yet.
Covid-19 was not the only cause of concern on the ‘Gangubai’ sets. An MLA, Amin Patel made headlines when he demanded that the title of Bhansali’s upcoming movie be changed, claiming that it maligns the name of Kathiawad. Speaking in the state Assembly, he said the Kamathipura area has undergone changes and “It is not the same like it was in the 1950s. Women there are excelling in different professions. The film’s title also maligns the name of Kathiawad.”
On the other hand, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon found it impossible to manage their fans. ‘Bhediya’ shoot was interrupted by hoards of star-struck fans. Dhawan had to stop the cameras for a while as his fans at Sagalee Ground in Arunachal Pradesh headed to the sets to catch a glimpse of the actor in action. In a viral video, the ‘Badlapur’ actor is seen climbing on top of a car while pleading with the crowd to let them resume the shoot by maintaining silence and order.
Leaving the freaky stories for the big screen is Katrina Kaif and her hunky co-stars Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi. In some exciting news on their horror-comedy Phone Bhoot, we learnt that the stars will have interesting music to suit the theme of the film. The makers have added spookfest also a dance number to go with it. Sharing more details about the same choreographer Adil Shaikh spilled the beans and said, “This project has been quite exciting. It’s such a different film. Considering it has horror we’ll have some creepy dance happening in there.”
