BJP MP Pragya Thakur flown down to Mumbai from Bhopal, admitted to hospital | India News – Times of India
MUMBAI: Member of Parliament from Bhopal Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur was airlifted from Bhopal and flown down to Mumbai where she was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani, a super-speciality hospital on Saturday evening.
The BJP MP, is facing a trial as one of the accused in the September 29, 2008 Malegaon blast case before a special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in Mumbai.
She had appeared before the NIA court on January 4 and had said that she had certain health issues and medical tests lined up.
The special court had granted exemption from personal regular appearance the following day on health grounds, till further orders, on a plea made by her defence counsel J P Mishra.
Advocate Mishra said she has multiple complaints and has undergone three surgeries in the past, including one at Ram Manohar Lohia Medical Institute in New Delhi, after being released on bail in 2015.
Prior to her release too she had been hospitalized, he said once in Mumbai. He said a team of doctors would examine her.
She reached the private hospital around 6 pm on Saturday.
