Beyoncé is all praise for Meghan Markle; says ‘We are all strengthened and inspired by you’ – Times of India

Popstar Beyoncé has joined a host of Hollywood stars coming out in support of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, since their bombshell tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The superstar on Tuesday, took to her website to pen a message of support and praise for Markle. “Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership. We are all strengthened and inspired by you,” she wrote in the post.

Beyoncé’s message came in a day after Meghan and Harry spilled details about their decision to step back from Royal duties. Meghan’s admission that she felt suicidal during her first pregnancy, apart from raising issues of alleged racism within the family has left a cloud of suspicion over some of its members.

On Tuesday, Buckingham Palace released a statement on behalf of the Queen saying that the allegations of racism made by the Sussexes were being “taken very seriously.”

The British Royal family is also “saddened” to learn of how challenging the last few years have been for Prince Harry and his wife. “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan,” the statement reads.

“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.”

“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved family members,” it adds.

Beyoncé, who met Harry and Meghan at the UK premiere of ‘Lion King’, previously showed her support for the former Hollywood actress in 2019, while accepting a Brit Award with husband Jay-Z. In a video featuring a portrait of Meghan with a crown on her head, Beyoncé wrote, “In honour of Black History Month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas.”
