Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Andheri issued a bailable warrant against actor Kangana Ranaut in a defamation case filed against her. She was asked to appear in court on March 1, 2021, in connection to the case that was filed by Javed Akhtar. In November 2020, the noted lyricist had filed a complaint against Kangana, post which the actress was asked to appear before the Andheri metropolitan magistrate.

Javed Akhtar had alleged that Kangana had made defamatory comments against him in television interviews. According to PTI, Javed Akhtar had claimed that Kangana had dragged his name while referring to a “coterie” existing in Bollywood, in TV interviews after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June last year. The complaint also mentioned that Kangana had falsely claimed that Akhtar threatened her to keep silent about her alleged relationship with actor Hrithik Roshan.

Earlier today, Kangana Ranaut was snapped outside a gym. Post-workout, the actress was snapped in grey athleisure making her way to her car.
