‘Baat Toh Karo’: Another peace initiative by Aaghaz-e-Dosti | India News – Times of India


BATHINDA: After raising voice at various forums for peace in the subcontinent thorough various initiatives, now the cross border peace initiative group Aaghaz-e-dosti has come up with another peace initiative ‘Baat Toh Karo’ (speak up).
‘Baat Toh Karo’ is a series of interviews with India-Pak peace advocates. The first interview in the series will be held with Ramon Magsaysay award recipient and human rights activist 90 years old IA Rehman.
The dialogue process had resumed earlier this week after nearly two years when a Pakistan delegation had reached Delhi to hold parleys on Indus Water Treaty.
Earlier Aaghaz-e-Dosti had been releasing peace calendars by calling paintings from school students from India and Pakistan on the topic of peace.
The peace group had been trying to involve students and peace activists in indulging into small time dialogue.
Activists Devika Mittal, Ravi Nitesh and many others had been involving activists from the neighbouring country to raise pitch for resumption of dialogue between the governments.
