Asus ROG Phone 5 to launch in India on March 10 – Times of India
Successor to the last year launched Asus ROG Phone 3, the smartphone will be sold on Flipkart.
Announcing the launch event, S.Y. Hsu, co-chief executive officer at Asus said, “Taking forward the legacy of the legendary ROG Phone, the new device is guaranteed to blow your mind with a stunning display, top-notch performance and audio, ultimate speed and control, and cutting-edge technology!”
The yet-to-launch Asus ROG Phone 5 received TENAA certification. As per the listing, the Asus ROG Phone 5 will come with a 6.78-inch OLED full HD+ display.
The smartphone is expected to be backed by a 6,000 mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. It is said to run Android 11 out-of-the-box and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. The gaming smartphone is said to pack 12GB of RAM and a 64MP triple-rear camera setup.
Last year, Asus confirmed that its first gaming smartphone — ROG Phone — will not get an Android 10 update. The company confirmed this on its Asus ZenTalk community forum. The company launched the smartphone in 2018 with Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. The smartphone then received an Android 9.0 Pie update in 2019.
