Apple discontinues two configurations of 21.5-inch iMac desktop – Times of India

Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has discontinued the 4K 21.5-inch iMac in 512GB and 1TB SSD configurations.
As per a report by MacRumors, Apple has removed both the SSD options from the ‌iMac‌’s configuration page completely.
Apple did not provide any official comment on the issue.
Earlier this month, Apple discontinued the iMac Pro.
This was even confirmed by Apple that it is no longer making the iMac Pro with 3 GHz 10-core Intel Xeon W processor and is recommending users who need a powerful desktop to opt the Mac Pro instead, as per a report by MacRumors.
The iPhone maker doesn’t allow buyers to opt for upgrades and they can buy the standard package with 3 GHz 10-core Intel Xeon W processor, 32GB 2666MHz ECC memory, configurable up to 256GB, 1TB SSD storage, Radeon Pro Vega 56 with 8GB HBM2 memory, 10Gb Ethernet, four Thunderbolt 3 ports and 27-inch Retina 5K 5120-by-2880 P3 display.
Last month, Jon Prosser — the YouTuber who has been often correct when it comes to giving tips about what Apple is working on — had claimed that the company is going to use the same colours as the fourth-generation iPad Air from last year for its next iMac models, which are expected to be launched this year
As per Prosser, this move to introduce colour options in the iMac models will strike the chord with those who loved the original ‌iMac‌ models that were available in colours like lime, strawberry, blueberry, grape, and tangerine back in the 90s.
