Anil Kapoor denies report of Abhinav Bindra biopic being shelved – Times of India
Anil Kapoor’s son Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor was to entertain fans with Abhinav Bindra biopic which was announced long ago. When a recent report suggested that the movie has been shelved, Anil Kapoor took to Twitter to shut down all rumours and wrote, “This is not true.” Interestingly, this film will not just feature Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor in the lead role, but Anil Kapoor has also signed up to play Harsh’s reel life father.
The Abhinav Bindra biopic is being helmed by Kannan Iyer and will narrate the story of the former air rifle shooter. Back in 2017, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor had posted a picture with Abhinav Bindra and shared, “Beginnings are very special. Especially when you get to play a character that has made the nation proud on world stage. I am stoked to have been chosen to play #AbhinavBindra and hopefully will do justice to the man, the legend!”
In February 2020, Anil Kapoor had tweeted a picture with son Harshvardhan and Abhinav Bindra and captioned it, “The beginning”, announcing that the biopic has gone on floors.
