Amit Shah reviews preparations for I-Day, Netaji and Sikh guru annivs | India News – Times of India


NEW DELHI: Home minister Amit Shah on Monday reviewed the progress of preparations for celebration of three important events — 75thanniversary of Independence, 400th birth anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur and 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose — with top officials of the home, culture and information & broadcasting ministries.
Sources said the meeting took stock of all the preparations done so far to celebrate the three occasions. A National Implementation Committee has been set up to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Independence. India completes 75 years of Independence on August 15, 2022.
A 70-member panel headed by PM Modi was constituted last year to “approve policies, plans and programmes and also to supervise and guide the commemoration of the 400th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur”.
