Taapsee Pannu, Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl and several others faced Income Tax raids at their properties in Mumbai on Wednesday, for alleged tax evasion. The investigating agency carried out searches at over 30 locations in Mumbai and Pune, including homes of several celebrities as well as the now dissolved Phantom Films.

Amidst this controversy, Swara Bhasker, who is said to be close to Taapsee and Anurag, penned an appreciation post for them, without mentioning the I-T raids. For Taapsee, Swara wrote, “Appreciation tweet for @taapsee who is an amazing girl with courage and conviction that is rare to see now days.. Stand strong warrior!” While also giving a shout out to Anurag Kashyap, Swara added, “Appreciation tweet for @anuragkashyap72 who has been a cinematic trailblazer, a teacher and mentor of talent and a man With rare candour and a brave heart ! More power to you Anurag Red heart”. Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha had also tweeted, “Kashyap and Taapsee I love you both. Just.”

The I-T officials landed on the sets of ‘Do Baaraa’ in Pune, which is being directed by Kashyap and features Taapsee in the lead. Sources in the IT department said that the searches may go on for the next three days and that they have started collecting evidence of all kinds.
