Amazon digital voice assistant Alexa has completed three years in India. To celebrate the occasion, e-commerce platform Amazon has announced offers on a range of Echo products. These will include both smart speakers and smart displays.
The offers will begin on February 15 at 12 midnight. Discount on Echo range of smart speakers and smart displays will be available for 24 hours. In a press release, the company said that it will also offer smart home bundles and other accessories at discounted prices during the one-day long sale.
Amazon has also revealed recent trends and insights about the voice assistant. As per Amazon, customers from over 85% pin codes purchased Echo smart speakers in 2020. It said that over 50% of Alexa users in the country are from non-metro cities.

Amazon said that overall usage of Alexa increased by 67% in 2020 compared to the last year. Millions of customers accessed Alexa on over a hundred smart devices. These included speakers, smartphones, headphones, laptops, fitness trackers and more.
Alexa debuted on the Amazon shopping app in 2020, though only for Android users. Amazon says that the voice assistant responded to over 5.8 lakh requests every day.
